Corría el año 2001 cuando The Offspring componían y grababan este tema para incluirlo como tema principal de la película ‘Orange County’, un curioso retrato del barrio californiano en donde se habían formado ellos mismos en 1994.
En esa época, The Offspring ya habían alcanzado el éxito masivo gracias al tremendo impacto mundial de ‘Smash’ con temas como “Come Out An Play” y “Self Esteem”, habían pasado de una independiente a una multinacional y las críticas más voraces se cebaban con ellos gracias a singles como “Pretty Fly (For a White Guy)” u “Original Prankster”, alejados de su sonido más punk y genuino.
En vista de que se les presentaba la ocasión de rendir tributo a su propio condado, The Offspring decidieron hacer uno de los temas más serios y melódicos que jamás habían hecho hasta la fecha. La estructura por sí misma, los riffs pesados y las entonaciones de Dexter Holland en el estribillo le otorgaban a este tema una frescura especial, una madurez muy interesante que dejó boquiabiertos a muchos de sus seguidores.
Producido por Brendan O’Brien fue el último tema que grabó el batería Ron Welty antes de abandonar Offspring.
